I am a second-year biology undergraduate student at Bath with a keen interest in animals and conservation. I joined the Bat Conservation Research Lab in November 2025 as an intern with the hope to strengthen my acoustic analysis skills, spend time out in the field using research equipment and get to learn more about the bats of the UK!

In my degree I have studied behavioural ecology and will be going on a field course in the summer. During my spare time, I have been a research assistant in Croatia and volunteered in the field with loggerhead sea turtles in Greece. My scientific interest in bats begun during the data collection expedition in Croatia where I got to witness harp traps and mist nets in action. This was also where I was first introduced to bat acoustics!
I have always lived around and adored wildlife and look forward to learning about anything that will come my way. I would like to delve deeper into ecology, field research and biodiversity. I hope my experience here will lead me to discover new interests and skills and be a foundation for a future career in conservation
